4 Walls Employee Spotlight: Meet Lisa Hankin

Name:
Lisa Hankin

Position:
Respage Project Manager

How long have you been with 4 Walls?
It was three years in December 2012.

What’s a typical day like for you?
Oh my goodness, I don't think there is a typical day as a Project Manager. Not only do the new clients and Respage projects keep me on my toes, but the constant interaction with our current client base keeps me busy. Some days it’s just about creating the look for our clients' new property blogs, while other days it’s answering emails to keep our clients happy and hosting webinars to teach and review with our clients our awesome Respage Express system.

What’s the best thing about your job?
The people are the best thing about my job. Not only the amazing group of people I work with, who at times keep me sane on crazy days, but the clients I have are so friendly and personable to talk to. It’s been such a pleasure creating relationships with everyone over the past three years.

What do you do in your spare time?
My spare time is very busy. I have two daughters who keep me going. Amanda is graduating from high school this year, so now is even a more crazy time for us. Ashley is an avid lacrosse player for not only school, but her club team as well, so I spend a lot of time driving all over to games. I am also engaged, and along with my fiancé's three children, a lot of our time is spent doing things as an extended family and having fun.

What is an interesting or little-known fact about you?
Hmm, that question makes me laugh as my mind fills with so many things to say. I would say my artwork. Although I do not paint or draw much anymore, it is definitely a passion that I have had since I majored in art studies in school. I have such an artistic, creative side and love to express it through painting.

Employee Spotlight: Meg Paolini

Name:
Meg Paolini

Position:
Writer & Content Editor

How long have you been with 4 Walls?
I started with 4 Walls in February 2013.

What’s a typical day like for you?
I split my time between two tasks. Some weeks I'm working on editing posts, and other weeks I'm working to create original content for specific markets or just general posts. Either way, I spend most of my time writing!

What’s the best thing about your job?
The best thing about my job is that I get to write, all day long. It feels like I'm visiting all these different cities, reading and writing about things to do and popular restaurants, without the cost of traveling. There is always something new to write about and research.

What do you do in your spare time?
In my spare time, I enjoy watching TV and movies as well as knitting and crocheting. It may seem like a hobby for people from another generation, but I love it.

What is an interesting or little-known fact about you?
I love baking and dream of opening a cupcake shop one day.

4 Walls Employee Spotlight: Meet Katie Coulter

Name:
Katie Coulter

Position:
Client Services Associate

How long have you been with 4 Walls?
Just shy of one month

What’s a typical day like for you?
Monitoring blogs, Facebook and Twitter, posting content for clients, assisting clients by answering their support questions, calling clients to answer any questions regarding their service and giving them ideas on how to fully utilize it to their maximum benefit.

What’s the best thing about your job?
My favorite part so far is when I post about a missing dog or cat on behalf of a client, and then shortly thereafter, I hear that the pet was reunited with its owner. It makes me happy that I could help! Also, not having to dress up is pretty awesome, since I work from home.

What do you do in your spare time?
I love to write and make funny videos in my spare time. I also spend time being social and going out to different restaurants. I'm a foodie!

What is an interesting or little-known fact about you?
I was a Production Assistant on the movie "Silver Linings Playbook," but unfortunately I did not get to talk to Robert DeNiro.

4 Walls Spotlight: Meet Melissa Bonner

Name:
Melissa Bonner

Position:
Client Services Manager

How long have you been with 4Walls?
2 years

What’s a typical day like for you?
A typical day involves reaching out to my property managers, posting content to clients' social media accounts and monitoring those accounts for comments and posts. I work with new clients, reviewing and training their staff on their new social media accounts, submitting posts to Respage and best practices on how to keep their social media current and interesting. I also work with our technical team on new ideas for Respage Express (our social media management tool), testing and giving feedback on any new functionalities that are added. I'm also a team leader in the Client Services department fielding questions and training the team when needed.

What’s the best thing about your job?
Getting to work from home. It's so convenient when my daughter is sick or her daycare is closed. Working from home also allows me to see her and my husband more, especially during the summer months when my husband is not working (he's a teacher).

What do you do in your spare time?
Spend quality time with my husband and almost 3 year old daughter. We are also preparing for baby girl #2, who will be arriving in March. I enjoy watching Barclays Premier League (English Soccer) with my husband and having a fantasy soccer team. Go Manchester United! During the summer months, you will also find me at the Philadelphia Union games. I guess you can say I've become a "soccer junkie," but this is only a new found passion since meeting my husband in 2007. I also enjoy baking and have made my fair share of character-themed birthday cakes for my daughter and family such as Sponge Bob, Mickey Mouse, Spider Man, Abby Cadabby, Curious George, and butterflies, as well as baby shower cookies.

4 Walls Spotlight: Meet Megan Logue

Name:
Megan Logue (soon to be Batdorf)

Position:
Client Services Representative

How long have you been with 4Walls?
1 year and 4 months :)

What’s a typical day like for you?
A typical day involves keeping in touch with my property managers and posting a mind-boggling amount of content to blogs, Facebook Pages and Twitter accounts. I also spend part of my day monitoring our properties’ pages for comments. My goal every day is to make sure that posts are done in a timely manner and that all my client’s questions are answered.

What’s the best thing about your job?
The best thing about my job is being able to work from home. My future husband has a rotating shift schedule, so if I was in an office from 9-5, I would rarely see him. It’s amazing to be able to work from home and save money on everyday things like gas, lunches, etc.

What do you do in your spare time?
You can usually find me at the gym, with my friends, or hanging with the fiancé. I like to spend my time with people. I love just laughing, watching movies and eating. I’m a true foodie at heart, hence the gym. :) A perfect day would be spent with friends and family and end at a fabulous restaurant, something like Talula’s Table in Kennett Square, PA. If you haven’t gone, I highly recommend it!

How Jeremy Lin Conquered the NBA: Lessons for All

Even if you don't follow basketball, you've probably heard of Jeremy Lin.

A non-scholarship point guard at Harvard, Lin made the Golden State Warriors as an undrafted free agent, but struggled in the shadow of more experienced players. After being sent down to the NBA's minor leagues, Lin battled back to a reserve spot on the New York Knicks. As the Knicks trailed the Celtics deep into the fourth quarter on February 3, Lin's coach finally gave him a chance.

His aggressive play won him a starting job, and in his first week as an everyday player Lin was unleashed, averaging 27.3 points, 8.3 assists and 2.0 steals. He carried the Knicks on his back for the rest of the season, helping his formerly moribund team to a 36-30 record. Even after a knee injury slowed him down, Lin ended up averaging 18.5 points and 7.6 assists per game. Now a free agent, he's a bona-fide NBA star thanks to hard work, perseverance, and the courage to be himself.

Whether you're shooting three-pointers or making business deals, Jeremy Lin's story is an example for us all. He stayed humble, earned the loyalty of his teammates, and didn't let a golden opportunity slip through his fingers. Employee Spotlight: Meet Beth Kovach

Name:
Beth Ann Kovach

Position:
Client Services Manager

How long have you been with 4Walls?
7 years – since March 2005

What’s a typical day like for you?
Typical?  What's typical?!  Every day is different, and I love that. I spend most of my day helping customers and my co-workers with projects and questions, and trying to keep things on track.

What’s the best thing about your job?
Working from home is a huge benefit. I have two kids and if I had a traditional office position, I wouldn't be able to work full-time. I'm able to work a full day and still be home for my family when they need me. 4 Walls is and always has been very supportive of that. It speaks volumes about the company that they value the balance between work and family. I also love that I get to interact with pretty much everyone in all departments on some level.

What do you do in your spare time?
Most of my spare time is spent running my kids, Amanda and Joey, to whatever they may have going on that night. Track, piano, dance, basketball, all in one week — sometimes all in one night! Our two dogs, Rosie and Rocky, are also very entertaining. When I actually have time to myself, I enjoy spending it with my husband Jason, watching tv, reading a book, or just plain relaxing. We go to the Jersey Shore for a week every summer, and for me, it's the best place in the world. On the sand, sitting by the water…it's paradise!
