Following the lead of a new state law, Lebanon officials are looking to do away with a ban on pitbull terriers and move to a more general ban on dogs deemed as "vicious." Lebanon, like many cities, adopted a ban on pit bulls and rottweiler dogs in the mid-1990s following the lead of several other cities, including Cincinnati and Fairfield.
